Vision Statement
To become a "Great Commission" church
that is mature and effective in its faith and ministry.
(Matthew 28:19-20)
Mission Statement
To be a faithful, trusting and obedient church
that teaches the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all people,
baptizing penitent believers in the name of
the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19-20)
Affirmation of Faith
As members of the Christian Church, we confess that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God, and proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world. (Matthew 16:15-17) In Christ name and by his grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. (Matthew 28:18-20) We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in the covenant of love which binds us to God and to one another. (John 1:1-4, 14) Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and we are made one with the whole people of God. (Romans 6:3-6) In the communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. (Romans 8:15-17) At the table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. (Mark 14:22-25) Within the church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture. (Ephesians 4:11-12) In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. (Acts 2:42) Blessing, glory and honor be to God forever. Amen.
